Trouble is Brewing Ahead

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As I wrote in my August newsletter the battle over the control of the White House was going to be settled. On August 17, Clinton was backed into a corner from which he was not able to extricate himself as he testified before the Grand Jury in Washington D.C. The evidence against Clinton was overwhelming, and he was forced to acknowledge to the Grand Jury that he had been sexually involved with Monica Lewinsky for a period of some 17 months. The Secret Service records and agents with others testified to the fact that Clinton and Lewinsky had met often and alone for long periods of time.

That evening Clinton went on national television and told the American people and the world that he had lied, although his speech writers had carefully crafted a speech that made him say he had misled the American people and his own staff. Instead of saying that he was asking for forgiveness, he used the word “regret.”

August 17,1998 was the beginning of the removal of Bill Clinton as President of the United States. He is now fighting his own staff, including his cabinet, to whom he lied and asked them to speak publicly for seven months declaring that Bill Clinton never had a sexual relationship with Lewinsky. Even if these people are not publicly saying so, they are hurt and humiliated to have been used in the cover up of Clinton. Their trust and loyalty is no longer with the President, and it will show in the governing of the nation.

The U.S. District Judge, Susan Weber Wright, of Little Rock, Arkansas who dismissed the Paula Jones lawsuit is now between a rock and a hard place, since it is now obvious that the President lied under oath in his deposition for that lawsuit. Unless Clinton’s lawyers file a complaint in a higher court first, the judge is now going to release the transcript of that deposition to the public. The judge is also considering filing charges against Clinton for perjury. Once the deposition is made public, the judge will be forced to file charges, since it will be common knowledge how Clinton lied under oath.

But the most damning blow against Clinton will be the report that Kenneth Starr is going to send to Congress. It is going to give evidence to an accumulation of lies, obstruction of justice and abuse of power that Bill Clinton has done over the years. Even the most skilled “spin doctor” that Clinton can find and his battery of lawyers will not be able to white wash Clinton’s behavior.

Already a number of Democratic senators and congressmen are backing away from the President, and once the report is out, I predict that there will be a massive abandonment of Clinton, and he will have only one of two choices; face an impeachment or resign as President Nixon was forced to do.

Attorney General Janet Reno has now been forced to open investigations on two more Democrats, Vice President Al Gore and Harold Ickes, concerning illegal campaign fund raising and its distribution. Add to this the beginning of the collapse of the stock market. The people in the White House now know that their time in the White House is shortly coming to an end.

During the month of August the Lord moved upon me to deliver a special message to the church, Resurrection Life of Jesus, where I am the pastor. In this message I shared with the people how the coming crisis on January 1, 2000 is going to affect us. Never before have I been so blunt in my assessment.

With the power struggle over the White House, nothing will be done to address this problem until there is a new president installed, which can take some time. With less than 16 months left to go, it is not boding well for the nation. To all the people who supported us financially during the month of August, we sent an audiocassette of this message. It was also sent out to scores of people, who responded to my special teaching on this subject over the radio. If you, for some reason, have not received this audiocassette (RLJ-626), contact us as soon as possible and ask for a copy. I believe that this message is a must for all Christians at this time, since we are heading in for some very difficult times.

I followed up this message the following Sunday, when I outlined in detail what the believers in Christ must do in order to prepare themselves. I do not believe that we must buy special “survival foods,” but that we can purchase what is now available in our stores and make do with it. If you want to have a copy of this audiocassette, you may order it from us (RLJ-627). God has shown me that we can survive if we seek Him first and then prepare with items available to us now. And the best news of it all is this; you do not have to buy anything from us, all that you need is already in the community where you live.

There are many other trouble spots in the world. Russia is boiling and it is just a matter of time before there will be a coup in Russia and a military nationalistic group will take power, being led by a dictator who will promise the Russian people food, safety and financial stability. The only way this group will be able to govern is to do what Adolf Hitler did in the 1930’s, prepare the Nation for a war and when ready, plunge the world into a New World War. God told us some 2,500 years ago that this would happen. You may read about it in Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39.

As we look upon all of the negative news, the question comes, is there any joy left? Absolutely! We are living in a time of great change, but God is in total control and there is no crisis in heaven. You and I were created to live at this time, to tell the world about the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus is still saving people, people are still being healed by the power of God, and our joy is in the Lord, not in worldly possessions.

Since I know about all of these bad events coming up, what am I doing? I am using every moment that I have to walk with Jesus and be his servant. I am asking God to use me as he sees fit, not what I think I should do. Knowing that the JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH, I want his joy to be in me. I might never be able to finish all the things that are in front of me, but I will do my best and that is all that I can do. It is better to have a smile on the face, then a frown and being constantly on edge. If I constantly become offended and am always in a negative mood, my witness for Jesus is not very good. If Jesus cannot make me smile in rough times, but I am grumpy and moody, it will be hard for me to tell people to come to Jesus and leave their burdens at the cross. My face should line up with my heart!

So until Jesus comes back, or we are all out camping due to the Millennium Bug, let us smile and have a good time, because God will never leave us or forsake us. Some day all our troubles will be over, and we will gather on the other side, getting ready for the great event of the ages, THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB!
