LOSS OF RESPECT
Lucifer realizes that the man he has arranged to rule the world has lost respect with the public. There is grumbling within the ten provinces and Lucifer realizes it is necessary to repair the supreme leader’s image from that of a ruthless dictator into something more benevolent. He needs help and Lucifer has a man specifically suited for this purpose. This second man – labeled the “false prophet” in the Bible – has studied the Kabbalah extensively and obediently serves its holy serpent messiah. He is endowed with incredible supernatural power and the world sees him as a compassionate religious leader directing worship toward the supreme leader.
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
With the supreme leader present, the fabled story of Elijah calling down fire from heaven comes to life as the false prophet does it time and time again to the amazement of the crowds that watch this awesome sight.1 Cameras and drone footage record a blazing furnace of light descending in a spiraling torrent of flame to engulf the sacrifice. To the people present and those watching on television and the internet, this serves as indisputable proof that this second man has been imbued with supernatural power.
But it doesn’t stop there. The false prophet continues to perform miracles, so many in fact, that the world loses count because of their sheer number.2 Just like Jesus in the Bible, he heals the sick. The lame begin to walk, the blind gain sight, the deaf can hear, the mute can speak, and those with incurable diseases are healed. The hospital in Jerusalem is completely emptied in one day as the false prophet travels from ward to ward, healing every person. Even the patients with life threatening illnesses in the intensive care unit are miraculously healed. All these activities take place in full view of the cameras recording each astonishing event, demonstrating to the world the immense power wielded by the benevolent false prophet.
The public is deeply enthralled with each display of supernatural power and they clamor for more and more. The fickleness of humanity is on display as the public forgets about their grievances with the supreme leader and the internet is ablaze with video clips, articles, and social media chatter concerning the phenomena. The false prophet exercises power over natural world by turning water into wine, controlling the weather, walking on water, and multiplying food to feed crowds that gather to watch him. He even visits the local morgue and resurrects every dead person.
The world is astounded and cannot get enough of the man who performs such amazing miracles. Some people point out that he exercises the same power of the fabled Jesus in the Bible. When questioned on television how he does all these wonders, the false prophet credits Lucifer, because none of what he does would be possible without his patronage. He states that he serves the same master as the supreme leader. Lucifer has summoned them to transform the world into a better place, an attainable goal that requires certain changes.
To that end, he states that humanity must worship the supreme leader because Lucifer raised him from the dead. Cameras witnessed the assassin’s bullet strike the supreme leader in the head, spraying blood and brain matter on the stage, leaving the potentate dead before he collapsed to the ground. The world witnessed something similar with John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963 with the Zapruder film. But in this case, the supreme leader was miraculously resurrected three days later with no brain damage or visible scarring! The false prophet makes it clear that the supreme leader is very special and should be honored with a statue that is venerated by all.
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
IMAGE OF THE BEAST
When the rebuilding began a decade ago, plans were made for a monstrous artificial intelligence surveillance and facial recognition system. It was modeled after the one used by China before the war, making it the most advanced and intrusive system in the history of mankind. Each citizen’s face is registered with a global database so that cameras in the streets, subways, airports, schools, banks, and shopping centers can identify suspects, track fugitives, and locate missing people under the guise of public safety.
The artificial intelligence does not merely identify faces, but can also track an individual across multiple camera feeds, going so far as to trace where they have been over the course of several days or weeks. This movement analysis allows the World Federation to examine the patterns and habits of dissidents while portraying it as a necessary safeguard for the common good.
Wax museums of the past featured lifelike figures of historical leaders and famous people before they were destroyed in the war. The downside is that the creations have to remain in a climate-controlled room or suffer ruin. Outdoor statues are usually made from granite or a bronze casting, but granite’s hardness limits detailed ornamentation and bronze develops a green patina over time.
The false prophet reveals the mindset of Lucifer when he proposes to construct a life-like image that is fifty feet tall. It will feature a metal skeleton with articulated joints for posing and movement with a silicone skin that allows for skin texture and facial features, similar to the sex dolls of the 2000s that employed robotics, speech, and sensors. This design will incorporate hidden cameras behind the eyes to provide sight for the artificial intelligence running the robot.
Each build will be placed in different spots around the world for worship. Crowds will be called to gather in front of it and bow down. The robot can analyze and determine who is not showing homage to the supreme leader. Dissenters are singled out and killed by a laser built into the right hand of the lifelike statue. The false prophet states that citizens will quickly conform or face the consequences. In this manner, using the false prophet’s influence, the supreme leader can fully project his power, using the desire to live as a means to compel humanity to worship his image.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18)
Lucifer’s playbook is limited; he is simply repeating what he did during the time of Daniel around 580 B.C., when King Nebuchadnezzar erected a statue in the plain of Dura and commanded everyone to bow before it.3ECONOMIC CONTROL
The false prophet is not pleased with the way the supreme leader has ruled the world thus far because dissidents still have too much freedom. Under the direction of Lucifer, he proposes to institute economic control as a means of enforcing allegiance to the supreme leader. Every transaction, whether local or global, falls under the scrutiny of a surveillance system.
Compliance is rewarded with access and refusal brings poverty and starvation. Without the mark of loyalty, a person is economically cut off; unable to buy food, sell goods, pay bills, or engage in business. The loyalty mark is not only economic, but spiritual as well because it is a symbol of allegiance and worship.
There are cries of protest from the dissenters who denounce the proposed financial strangulation for those refusing to worship a man. Some of the Christians believe it is nothing less than the Beast system predicted in the Bible, effectively tying commerce and survival to loyalty. Financial participation is intertwined with one’s loyalty to the supreme leader, converting those who refuse the loyalty mark into economic outcasts and subject to persecution. This suffocation of personal freedom creates a dependence to simply live. A dim world indeed where conscience and survival hinge upon submission!
This is simultaneously facilitated by a move from coins and paper money to relying solely upon digital forms of payment such as credit cards, mobile apps, and electronic transfers. Every purchase and sale proceeds through an electronic network, rendering physical money obsolete, and giving rise to the exclusive use of bank cards, mobile wallets, and QR codes. This new financial system is touted for its convenience and security through the use of smartphones, online banking, and digital payment platforms. The flipside to this efficiency is that every transaction becomes traceable, allowing accounts to be restricted. Every transaction requires system approval, relinquishing unprecedented power to the supreme leader.
To expedite the process, every person is assigned a unique twelve-digit number to serve as a distinctive identifier within the World Federation.
The Universal Registration Number, or URN as it becomes known, becomes a master key to existence. Every record from birth is culled from civil, financial, and personal agencies and merged into one record within the URN profile. Every major aspect of personal history such as birth, citizenship, ethnicity, family lineage, education, medical records, employment history, military service, marriage and family, and financial data is indexed. Every medical visit, job change, and purchase is added to the URN profile. Changing names, trying to escape the system, or simply wanting to start over becomes impossible because the digital trail is tied to a complete biometric identity record containing facial image, retina scan, fingerprints, blood sample, and dental records. The Universal Registration Number serves as a credential for identification, employment, tax reporting, banking and credit applications, healthcare, and background checks. All vital statistics are tied to the URN system.
The URN system is a massive shift that cannot be executed in just a few days or weeks. Putting into action a digital ID is ambitious and it takes two years to establish the URN database and upgrade the servers of all banks to reflect real time transactions. The World Federation sets up a digital currency – FederCoin – to replace physical money.
Cash withdrawals and deposits are limited during the third year, and in the fourth year, paper currency payments for expensive items are banned to prevent “money laundering.” Businesses receive mandates to go fully digital and cash is declared obsolete. From this point forward, cash is considered illegal tender and withdrawn from circulation by the banks.
The URN system is slowly executed in each of the ten provinces through the use of bank cards and mobile wallets. Each person is assigned a Universal Registration Number to deliver on the promise of convenience, but dissenters create a small parallel society to offset the conditional freedom and hold on to their privacy.
Every baby is enrolled into the system at birth, with the URN functioning as a digital tether. Parents of unregistered babies are denied access to food, medical care, and education. Unregistered babies do not legally exist and parents risk imprisonment by hiding them. The worldview of these children is shaped by the URN system as it molds their habits, thoughts, and response to authority.
Retailers refusing to comply with Universal Registration Number lose all ability to conduct business. Black markets emerge, but they are short lived because of the enforcement oversight which utilizes people as snitches. The majority of businesses begin the process of connecting their sales systems to the URN system, receiving compliance certificates to remain in operation. The first step is the rejection of cash from customers and eliminating cash registers. FederCoin transactions are instant, verified electronically through the URN database. Theft also drops significantly because cash is no longer in use.
There are disruptions that halt commerce such as a retailer’s account being flagged over a political accusation, or the URN system becoming inaccessible because of a software failure or network outage. Retailers gradually transition from merchants into administrators of the World Federation. Their stores become part of a surveillance network rather than a free marketplace. Success no longer depends on satisfying customers, but on pleasing the URN system that controls every transaction.
The autocratic government of the supreme leader oversees enforcement and compliance of the Universal Registration Number through coercion. Anyone refusing to enroll loses access to work, food, and healthcare. Black-market activity is criminalized and harshly targeted. Citizens fall under the vice-like grip of the URN system with its FederCoin after just four years.
BIOMETRIC ID
Then the false prophet implements a new policy of biometric IDs, claiming it eliminates the need for bank cards, mobile wallets, and QR codes because a person’s identity is “always with you” wherever you go. The embedded microchip is placed subdermally in right hand or forehead, allowing for convenience, security, and seamless integration with the FederCoin.
The implant is supposed to simplify daily transactions, medical care, and it is more difficult to steal than a wallet or phone because it is now part of the physical body. The simplicity of being able to make payment with a scan of the hand or forehead is undeniable. Additionally, government workers with key card access can use the embedded microchip to enter secure locations, eliminating the need for a physical card.
There is no risk of losing the microchip so it can be used to store medical records, allergies, and emergency contacts. The subdermal implant incorporates a micro-battery that uses thermoelectric harvesters to convert body heat and trickle charge the unit. The microchip can also be recharged wirelessly through the skin by way of inductive charging. Bluetooth pairing allows automatic health monitoring of heart rate, glucose, and temperature. In the event of an emergency, first responders can scan the implant for instant information.
The false prophet is shown having one inserted in his forehead. The camera reveals the implant is so small that there is no visible bump. He markets the biometric ID as a normal step for society to show their love and devotion to the supreme leader and anyone refusing it is portrayed as irrational and dangerous. Propaganda celebrates those who choose the implant as loyal and enlightened, stating it is a privilege to be a worshiper of the supreme leader and Lucifer. A segment of the population immediately buys into the hype, but there are many others who weigh the outcome and hesitantly take the implant to feed their families.
Cynical dissenters accurately label the subdermal microchip for what it is – a coerced voluntary system. Yet the false prophet preserves the appearance of free choice while making refusal practically impossible. Workplaces, schools, and hospitals require the implant “for security.” No one can receive wages, medical care, or housing without it and merchants cannot legally sell to undocumented citizens. The objection of the rebels is lost on the masses and no one takes them seriously.
The false prophet claims he will not force anyone into compliance. By labeling participation as voluntary, the World Federation shifts the moral responsibility onto the individual. Those who refuse appear to be defiant and irrational. The biometric ID tied to allegiance transforms obedience into a moral performance whereby an individual chooses servitude to prove his virtue. It is a form of control that is not achieved by force, but through the illusion of freedom.
The genius of propaganda lies in blurring the line between loyalty and necessity until submission feels voluntary.
Television and social media are filled with announcements where citizens can receive their mark of loyalty. Government buildings in each region feature a special room with a robotic life size replica of the supreme leader that behaves and speaks just like the real man. Powered by AI, the replica talks to each applicant and asks if they love him. When they answer affirmatively, they are told to kneel and worship the supreme leader. After the ceremony concludes, the oath taker is escorted to another room where the microchip is inserted in the right hand or the forehead. Enrollees seeking to impress the government opt for the forehead.
A grace period of one year to comply is set and people readily accept the subdermal implants because it “makes their lives easier, safer, and more efficient.” Sadly, they are willing to trade what little independence remains for permanent dependency. What begins as a choice has now transformed into a requirement for participation in society. Every human joining the URN system becomes a slave to Lucifer.
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six..
The Antichrist is associated with the number 666, which was also the Kabbalistic number of King Solomon. He demanded 666 talents of gold as tribute. He also built a throne with six steps and twelve lions. Anyone standing in front of the throne could not help but see his Kabbalistic number of 666. (1 Kings 10:14; 18-20)
The next chapter begins to recount his spiritual decline in taking multiple wives and embracing their false gods. Jesus equated the Antichrist with King Solomon, drawing an undeniable link between the two men.
The dissenters are excluded from society. They are few in number and no longer possess identification, effectively blocking them from all services and all their assets are confiscated by the World Federation. They live in rural areas – often hidden – where the surveillance is weaker. Their survival depends on barter with URN users who are willing to risk punishment, small gardens, hunting, charity, and God for the Christians.
The dissident’s refusal is seen as terrorism and surveillance systems track movement, forcing them to constantly evade. They exist outside the URN system, but always under the shadow of the World Federation. Many of these people are Christians who denounce the biometric implants of the Universal Registration Number, likening it to the Beast system predicted in the Bible.
THE DISSENTERS
Who are the men and women that refuse to join the URN system? What is their worldview that causes them to be dissenters and excluded from society?
They have privacy concerns and the idea of living under continuous surveillance and data collection violates their convictions. Swearing loyalty to the supreme leader rubs them the wrong way because they operate under the principle of limited government and despise the tyranny to which they are subjected.
They are ideological in their resistance, opposing a centralized world government controlling its citizens through data and have a natural distrust of the biometric database, and choose to practice civil disobedience to defy their loss of autonomy.
Some of them have health objections because they fear the long-term effects from the biometric implants. There is concern that it could be hacked or malfunction in such a way as to jeopardize personal safety.
Aside from the Christians, there are also those of other religions which took personal affront to the supreme leader’s outlawing of their faith and don’t want anything to do with his program. The idea of injecting their body with a microchip seems harmful, nor are they keen on the idea of swearing an oath to a man, especially an oath that seems befitting only to their god.
The older people are more resistant to change, preferring cash and the freedom that comes with unfettered transactions. A minority already live off-grid and consider themselves self-reliant. They are naturally skeptical of any mandatory government program which is promoted under the auspice of safety.
There is a genuine concern of the control wielded by the URN system and how it tracks every aspect of their life. Some have traumas from previous oppression and do want to subject themselves to the perceived tyranny of the World Federation and its supreme leader. They do not want to conform, preferring the independence that comes with being their own person. Many simply desire anonymity and just want to be left alone.
The dissenters did not arise solely from religious conviction; this eclectic group includes philosophers, libertarians, privacy advocates, technophobes, nationalists, off-gridders, and ordinary people who simply distrust a system that claims to be voluntary yet controls every facet of life.
PERSECUTION AND SUFFERING
It is a severe blow to dissenters and Christians when the false prophet announces that all citizens of the World Federation must receive a biometric ID in conjunction with the Universal Registration Number (URN). The supreme leader banned every religion – beside the Kabbalah – eight years earlier following his miraculous resurrection. Shortly thereafter churches and parochial schools were shut down.
The biometric ID is yet another attack on the Christian community and presents a dilemma. How is a man supposed to care for his family and remain true to God? The need to provide for his wife and children presents an agonizing choice. If he does not take the mark of loyalty, where will they go and how will he continue to make a living?
A small group of fundamental Christians are adamant in their belief not to compromise and join the URN system. They have absolutely no intention of taking the mark of loyalty and ignoring God’s warning. They believe that the Bible is unchanging in its promises and warnings, taking solace in Jesus’ words not to leave or forsake them, reckoning that that their Savior will take care of them – however that works out.
…and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
The remainder of the Christians are liberal and not very strong in their faith. They use church to leverage their image, gain power, benefit from the networking, and acquire wealth. They rarely ever read the Bible or pray and none are baptized in the Holy Spirit. Having no discernment, they foolishly chose to submit to the biometric ID, believing that God would want them to provide for their family.
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Bibles are scarce since the World Federation started confiscating and burning them. Many pastors have been killed and there was a lack of leadership in the ten provinces. Born again believers gather in homes to worship together and take communion. Some of the home groups still have access to a Bible which is read and treated with reverence. They believe Jesus’ warning about the Mark of the Beast is genuine, recognize the subdermal implant is a fulfillment of prophecy, and have no intention of displeasing their Lord and Savior. They fully recognize this was an irreversible decision from which there is no repentance. Taking the supreme leader’s mark of loyalty carries an eternal consequence with no possibility of forgiveness.
During the one-year grace period, Christians gather to discuss what they were going to do. Those from liberal denominations like the Presbyterians, Methodists, and Episcopalians have never heard about an Antichrist and are clueless as to what Jesus said about the matter. Most of them want to take the biometric implant since they desire to keep their lives intact and not lose access to their home, job, medical care, and the ability to purchase food. To avoid any last-minute rush at the end of the deadline, they take their families to the local government building early in an effort to avoid having stand in long lines.
The Roman Catholics fare even worse. None of them are born again, never having experienced the new birth. The traditions of Romanism and its liturgies are useless, leaving them spiritually unprepared to face the ultimatum of the World Federation. The last pope urges Catholics to conform, which allows them to remain part of society, but this move also seals their fate in the Lake of Fire.
There are dozens of Baptist denominations; some are liberal, some are staunch conservatives, and others are somewhere in the middle. The hardcore Baptists strongly believe in the need to be born again and the second coming of Christ with the Antichrist appearing first. Only the middle group decides to reject the loyalty mark; however, since they also reject the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the nine associated gifts, they figure that it’s up to them to fend for themselves and therefore do not count on any help from heaven.
The evangelical denominations have liberals in their ranks who have no qualms about taking the loyalty mark. The conservatives do not like the idea of the subdermal implant, but possess no strong conviction on the matter since there has never been any teaching on the subject due to the fact that they consider the Book of Revelation to be an allegory. Faced with inevitable deadline, they weigh the two outcomes and both groups opt for the security of the implant that promises to make their lives easier, safer, and more efficient.
The Pentecostal denominations are more informed about the régime of the supreme leader, correctly identifying him as the infamous Antichrist, along with his False Prophet pushing the mark of loyalty. But there are heated discussions as they debate the pros and cons of taking the implant. What happens to the people with diabetes who need insulin? What about people with different sicknesses that need daily medication? What are they going to eat with no ability to buy from grocery stores?
Those who are weak in faith break down, believing God will understand if they become slaves to Lucifer temporarily in an effort to simply survive. But there are many who have been baptized in the Holy Spirit who take heart in the fact that Jesus cared for three million Hebrews when they left Egypt and wandered in the wilderness for forty years. They believe that God can and will do the same thing for them. He supplied water and manna on a daily basis for the children of Abraham, and they believe Jesus is certainly capable of doing the same thing again.
CHRISTIAN EXILES
Thousands of bible-believing Christians take what they can carry and leave the cities for rural areas and set up makeshift camps. Sure enough, God is faithful as food and water is supplied supernaturally. The International Defense Force (IDF) wages a deadly game of cat and mouse in its hunt to eliminate those that the supreme leader brands as terrorists. Many are caught and publicly executed to deter further resistance.
…and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands…
The Christians not baptized in the Holy Spirit find it difficult to survive. They love the Lord, but it is a war of attrition and their numbers dwindle because they don’t believe that God works like He did with the early church. A premature death on earth leads to disappointment in heaven when they realize their lives could be been so much more impactful on earth.
And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
