THE RISE OF THE ANTICHRIST
The question of the next world war is not whether it will take place; rather, when will it occur? The next global conflict will open the door for the emergence of the Antichrist. This nuclear war will devastate Russia, China and North Korea and the damage done to Western Europe, the United States, Japan and Australia will be of such a magnitude that it reduces these nations back to the Stone Age.
During the Cold War, the acronym MAD – coined in 1962 and standing for Mutual Assured Destruction – described the doctrine that if the Soviet Union launched a first strike, the retaliatory response from the United States would be sufficient to ensure the destruction of the Soviet Union.
For nearly a century, the doctrine of MAD prevented the outbreak of nuclear war. When the Soviet Union dissolved in 1991, nations around the world felt a profound sense of relief, believing the nuclear threat was finally behind them. The Soviet Union gave way to Russia, and for the next decade it seemed as though tensions between East and West had ended. A belligerent leader took power in Russia, and by 2025, tension with the United States had returned.
Suddenly and without provocation, the Russian leader orders a pre-emptive strike against the Western nations. The unthinkable occurs as the doctrine of MAD is fulfilled, leaving both Russia and the West reduced to a smoldering wasteland.
The West does not have nuclear missiles stationed in the Middle East and around the Mediterranean Sea, so these areas are not targeted. The same goes for Africa, Central and South America. Pakistan, India, Burma, Thailand and Laos and Cambodia are also untouched.
The war is over in one day with billions killed and more dying from the subsequent radiation and injuries. The surviving soldiers can’t carry on the fighting because the damage to infrastructure is severe. Most of the population in the northern hemisphere is concerned with finding food, shelter, and medical care.
The whole earth is contaminated with radioactive clouds and there is a strong public outcry for there to be no further wars. The political leaders of different nations call for an end to the fighting and someone puts forth the idea to establish a global federation, abolish the sovereignty of nations, and end the use of nuclear weapons.
In principle, this plan appears sound, yet it is deeply flawed because it doesn’t take into account humanity’s sinful nature. Such a proposal could only have functioned prior to the Fall in the Garden of Eden, or in the future within the new creation, instances when the absence of sin guarantees success.
This is the moment that the Kabbalistic Jewish leadership has been working toward since the time of King Solomon and they immediately arrange for the surviving governments to meet at Jerusalem to discuss what can be done to make the world better. This is similar to what occurred in 1945 after WWII when all governments were invited to San Francisco and the United Nations came into existence.
During the contentious discussions that follow among the international delegates, a charismatic homosexual Jewish man repeatedly comes to the forefront as a peacemaker and problem solver. Exploiting the crisis, he eventually gains the trust of everyone and volunteers to lead the rebuilding. The destruction caused by the nuclear bombs is a global problem, necessitating a global solution. This man is educated and successful in business and the young and energetic staff of his company are capable of doing a lot of good for the survivors of World War III.
And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.
And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.
He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
A global problem requires a global solution.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
THE REBUILDING BEGINS
The most pressing need is dealing with the radioactive fallout from the war. Laboratories and factories in the East and West were destroyed by the nations involved in the war. Since the laboratories and factories have been devastated by the western and eastern nations involved in the war, the center of technology and research shifts to Israel since it already possesses a large, well-developed network of research facilities spanning basic science, applied technology, and advanced computing. The supreme leader orders the facilities enlarged, and at the same time, inventory is taken of the production capacity for Africa and South America. No expense is spared because he wants a quick recovery.
Survivors from the northern hemisphere begin streaming south and to escape the radiation and the traditional flow of migrants is reversed. The rapid influx from north to south creates resentment among those already situated in the southern hemisphere. The once proud people from North America, Europe, and Asia now live in camps for displaced persons.
Skilled workers are quickly incorporated into the booming industrial expansion happening as a result of the supreme leader. Educators from the north are in great demand as education is ramped up to coincide with the new colleges, universities, and trade schools being built.
The economies of Africa and South America experience rapid growth with all the new development inside their borders. Before the nuclear war, they were regarded as third world nations, receiving little investment and were exploited for their minerals and rare metals. In the aftermath, however, factories are established and the education system is rapidly expanded with new colleges, universities, and trade schools. School attendance becomes mandatory and the quality of instruction is elevated to a high standard. Surviving educators from the north are welcomed to accelerate this new educational system.
The poor in these two regions become the new wealthy middle class. People from the north are more than happy to seek low wage work in agriculture, construction, hospitality, and domestic services.
Christians from the north and south join forces to build new churches as people are uncertain about their future following the nuclear events of World War III.
The supreme leader directs the construction of government buildings for his administration and commissions a grand palace for himself on the outskirts of Jerusalem. He commands the creation of a new court system to enforce law and order, appointing a panel of legal scholars to draft statutes aligned with his autocratic rule. Once enacted, judges are installed to uphold these authoritarian laws, with courthouses established across the provinces and a special supreme court building erected in Jerusalem.
The supreme leader commands the dissolution of the former national armed forces and establishes instead an International Defense Force (IDF), designed to swiftly suppress any sign of insurrection.
ASSASSINATION AND RESURRECTION
Ten years after the war ended, the terrible memories caused by nuclear weapons have been replaced by a booming global economy as life has returned to some semblance of normalcy. People have pushed the memories of the terrible war away as homeownership, discretionary spending for entertainment and hobbies, and travel became common again. Christianity is widely embraced by the population, and the various religions have learned to coexist peacefully.
The assassination of the supreme leader comes as a rude shock; it becomes the shot heard around the world. Video footage of the graphic shooting is displayed on the news and social media. Everyone sees the assassin’s bullet strike the beloved supreme leader in the head and the world laments on how great he was, bringing humanity back from the brink of disaster, and delivering prosperity like never seen before. The supreme leader’s chief of staff promptly addresses the world on global television, announcing that the assassin is linked to a radical Christian group, promising that every measure will be taken to apprehend the shooter and bring him to justice.
The funeral for the supreme leader shows him laid in an open casket, lying in repose at the palace as people come to pay their last respects to this great man. Then the unthinkable happens! Three days after the shooting, the supreme leader suddenly sits up in the casket, walks in front of the cameras televising the event, and claims to have been resurrected by someone named Lucifer. The public begins asking two questions. How can a dead man come back to life? Who is this man named Lucifer?
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
What they don’t know is that a fallen angel from another dimension is responsible for the revival of life and healing of the deadly head wound.
NEW WORLD ORDER
The religious autonomy of being free to believe and worship as an individual or community disappears overnight as the supreme leader declares there is now only one acceptable religion on earth and that is the worship of Lucifer. The world’s beloved leader explains that he stands alive as a result of the supernatural power bestowed by the holy serpent of the Kabbalah.
This announcement creates problems in the Jewish community. The small group of Kabbalistic Jews are elated since they believe the supreme leader to be the embodiment of the holy serpent, who has risen from the bottomless abyss. The messiah on whom they have waited thousands of years has finally arrived. But the Reform Jews and secular Jews reject the Kabbalistic teaching and distance themselves from the supreme leader just like the hardcore Christians.
This resurrection announcement is disconcerting to most people, but who can deny the fact that the supreme leader is alive and well once again? There are dissidents who resist this change, but like a growing groundswell, the adherents of this new global faith slowly begin worshiping the beloved supreme leader and the fallen angel empowering him.
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
Shortly thereafter the supreme leader orders the destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the temple ground in Jerusalem. There is an immediate outcry from the Muslims because it is still a holy site for them, even though they are not supposed to pray to Allah any longer. The supreme leader apologetically states that he respects their religious history, but it is necessary to rebuild the Jewish temple which once stood on the same ground before it was destroyed by the Romans in AD 70. He promises to explain his reasoning at a later time when all will be revealed, but for the time being, asks the Muslim adherents to simply trust him now based upon his past actions.
A short time later, the supreme leader on worldwide television strips the ten governors of power, suspends the global constitution, and states that he is going to rule by decree from now on. In true autocratic rule, he declares the grace period is over concerning other religions; they are now forbidden and everyone is required to worship Lucifer and him alone. He speaks against the one true God in heaven, blaspheming His name, His temple in heaven, and those that dwell in heaven – holy angels and believers in Christ who once lived on earth.
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
Jesus revealed that the Antichrist will rule by himself for forty-two months – a period of three and a half years – until he is joined by the false prophet.
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world..
When the new temple is finished, the supreme leader declares that he is going to dedicate it. The Zionist Jews are elated that they will finally have their temple some two thousand years later. A high priest is present on the temple ground with priests from the tribe of Levi. Television cameras show the priests with their shofars for the occasion. IDF soldiers from the supreme leader’s personal bodyguard stand at attention as the Man of Sin arrives with the pomp of the most powerful man on the planet.
The cameras show the high priest and his fellow priests put the animal offerings on the burning altar. The supreme leader watches the proceeding silently until the high priest is about to take the blood from the sacrifice to the holy of holies. He loudly calls for the high priest to halt and does not stop walking until he is standing in the holy place behind the thick curtain. Still in full view of the cameras, the supreme leader fixes his gaze on the nearest lens and utters three words that will alter the course of history: “I am God.”
Some of the priests cry out in horror and try to drag the supreme leader out of the temple. But their efforts are in vain as the IDF bodyguards shoot the dissenters swiftly and without hesitation in front of the cameras. Their ruthlessness creates an immediate atmosphere of fear that reinforces the supreme leader’s grip on power. Amid the fallen bodies, the Man of Sin sits down on the mercy seat, proclaims his divinity, and demands that all worship him.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
The mercy seat was a gold cover placed on top of the Ark of the Covenant. Two golden cherubim faced each other on either side, their wings stretched out and overshadowing the cover. The mercy seat was pertinent because it served as a meeting place between God and the Israelites.
And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
RESPONSE FROM GOD
The next day two men walk into Jerusalem and take up a position on the sidewalk, opposite the palace the supreme leader. They are not dressed like modern people, but clothed with sackcloth robes, belts around their waists, and leather sandals on their feet. There is something archaic about the way they are dressed and their interaction with the public makes them stand out. The words they speak are religious in nature and the message is contrary to the one being propagated about the deity of the supreme leader.
The material quality of sackcloth is such that the texture is coarse from its thick, loosely woven fibers. It is abrasive against the skin and causes discomfort, irritation, and pain for the person wearing it. Sackcloth has strong symbolic meaning in the Bible; wearing it is a dramatic act of mourning, repentance, or humility.
The palace guards see the two men dressed so oddly and they do not leave and go home like most people. What set them apart is the fact that they occupy the same spot day after day while uttering warnings of God’s impending judgment. The matter is eventually reported to the supreme leader and he wonders who they are why they are in front of his palace. Lucifer is familiar with the Bible and knows these are two witnesses sent from God.
The supreme leader asks Lucifer what should be done and the fallen angel states the two witnesses should be killed as quickly as possible. Though he knows the effort is doomed to failure, his stubbornness drives him to believe he can nevertheless defy God by killing the two men. The supreme leader immediately orders a kill squad of soldiers to do the murderous task.
They pile out of their vehicle and arrange themselves in a firing line. But something strange happens when the soldiers begin to shoot. It’s like the guns are firing blanks, because the two men just stand there, completely unhurt and seemingly unfazed by what is going on. One by one the thirty round magazines are emptied and the soldiers are in the process of reloading when fire unexpectedly erupts from the mouths of the two witnesses.
Like the mythological dragon’s breath, two streams of blinding fire surges toward the soldiers, intersecting to rapidly envelop the squad, filling the space they occupy with orange and gold flames that subsides in black smoke. When the smoke clears, the only thing that remains of the hit men is their charred, smoking bodies lying dead on the ground.
The supreme leader is astonished when he learns what transpired. How can these two men behave in such a manner? Isn’t God supposed to be all about love? How does their behavior exemplify the love of God? No matter, the supreme leader decides to escalate with heavier weaponry, since this will undoubtedly solve the problem.
The second kill squad arrives twenty minutes later in ten armored vehicles and comes to a stop parallel with the sidewalk a hundred feet away. Soldiers flood out of the vehicles and take up positions between them with their rifles pointed towards the two strange men. There is an even amount of heavy machine guns and automatic grenade launchers mounted on the roofs of the vehicle and the quiet is interrupted again for the second time as the staccato of mixed gunfire spews its deadly charges at the two witnesses. The bullets from the assault rifles and the heavy machine guns reach the targets almost immediately, followed by the high-explosive fragmentation grenade rounds which explode in quick succession, creating a dust cloud from the blast shockwaves.
The violence is immediate and breathtaking at the same time, but when the smoke clears, the two witnesses are seen standing as they were, seemingly unharmed by the deadly barrage of gunfire. Just like before, their response is abrupt as fire erupts from their mouths. Even though the kill squad is much further away this time, the two streams of fire surge out and engulf the men and vehicles, lighting the tires on fire, cooking off the ammunition to create more explosions, and make the street look like a war zone. Every soldier in the kill squad perishes, and just like the last time, their charred bodies lie smoking on the ground.
Fed up with the seemingly mediocre effort thus far, the supreme leader orders tanks brought to bear against the two witnesses. In addition to the powerful main gun, they also feature a laser that is capable of firing an intense beam of light that incinerates and burns through any target. The confidence factor is high as the tanks rumble toward the two men in sackcloth and unleash their awesome weapons. Repeatedly firing the main guns and lasers, the tank crews wait for the dust to settle and are dismayed to see the two men apparently unfazed by the assault against them.
Two streams of fire in response reach out to engulf the tanks, cooking the crews inside and setting off ammunition explosions. The thunderous blasts rip through the armored hull, sending shockwaves outward and spewing fire, smoke, and shards of metal in every direction. The detonation forces the turret upward, hurling it into the air as if it were weightless. For a brief moment it hangs suspended in the air, silhouetted against the smoke and flames, before gravity drags it back down. The impact shakes the ground, scattering debris and leaving the mighty war machines as twisted, burning ruins.
The supreme leader sees the action unfold in front of his palace this time and the outcome shocks him. How can two men withstand so much firepower? It’s like they are invincible! The situation doesn’t make sense. Leaving the window, he walks back to his office and asks Lucifer for wisdom on how to deal with these two men who are apparently incapable of dying. The Devil responds that they are prophets from the God in heaven. Their irritating presence has emerged because the Bible predicts they will be present for three and a half years. During that time, there is nothing that can be done except to ignore them. Lucifer does not say it, but he is powerless against these witnesses of God.
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
The supreme leader is devastated. Social media is buzzing with footage of the failed assassination attempts, and news cameras are now showing the world the failed efforts to murder the two men. The positivity put forth by the supreme leader for the last decade has now begun to be offset by the judgments being pronounced on certain parts of the earth by the two mysterious men.
Obviously, this does help them win any popularity contests and a huge segment of the world’s inhabitants hate the two men. A lot of people remember what it was like in the aftermath of a nuclear war and the plagues inflicted on humanity do nothing to engender the two witnesses to the rest of mankind who side with the supreme leader. These people are not Christians; they want nothing to do with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
The majority of the world’s population is enjoying the prosperity brought about by the supreme leader and they certainly don’t appreciate drought, water turning to blood, and plagues. Nevertheless, this was a public relations disaster as the two mysterious men unravel the power of the supreme leader and his failed attempts at eliminating them are an embarrassment to him and Lucifer. The Devil won’t admit it, but he is powerless against these witnesses of God who defy death and ostensibly control nature. As a result, there is a loss of respect for the supreme leader and he is diminished in the face of the two men who afflict the world.
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them..
And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
