Some might call this a failure of the Secret Service in protecting Trump, others willful neglect. To be sure, the Biden administration had no interest in Trump winning. As a candidate Trump naturally received less protection that he would as an elected president but as a former president he should have had a familiar detail protecting him. Where were they?
Remember that the Biden adminstration refused secret service protection to RFK Jr. when he was running in the primaries when it was his father’s assassination that inspired the law for presidential candidated to have Secret Service protection.
Jill Biden made a campaign trip to Pittsburgh on the same day as Trump was scheduled to speak at Butler. This trip appeared to be planned at the last minute. It is believed that this trip diverted secret service protection from Trumps rally at Butler. In addition candidate Kamala Harris was in Pittsburgh that day drawing off more secret service resources.
Trump apparently received a substandard and a mostly untrained detail from Homeland Security. Secret service goes through training specific to protecting the officials in their trust and has access to specific intelligence on threats. Homeland Security agents do not have that training and experience which is crucial.
Looking at the all the material and videos leaves many questions unanswered. Crooks was on top of a metal building where the local police were stationed. If you have every walked on a metal roof you would know it is quite noisy and would have been heard inside the building, a building with police inside. The police reacted slowly and it appears no radio warning was sent out. Trump should have been taken off stage immediately.
The local police set aside radios for the secret service detail but they were never picked up. They knew for three minutes Crooks was on the roof but the radio calls could not get to the secret service. The counter sniper teams were left without radios which could have stopped Crooks from getting a shot off.
The lack of informaton forthcoming on the event when the assassin is dead and no trial to account for leaves us with deep suspicion that this event is even more embarrasing that anyone suspects. It appears drawing away protection from Trump may have been part of a plan. Removing the protection is the secret of a good assassination plan. Crooks social media appears to have been so extensive and up to now hidden he must have been on the secret services radar. That is an assumption not beyond the realm of possibility.
Trump like JFK are and were threats to the Deep State. Coronel Flecher Prouty, former Air Force focal point officer for the CIA, is an expert on these events.
