We are most certainly alive in our physical bodies on earth, but we are spiritual creatures first and foremost. Pastor John shared how the Holy Spirit interacts with your soul, what the spirit born of God is, and how demons attack the soul to control it.
Understanding these concepts is the key to beginning to live your best life, knowing that you are an eternal being. The physical body merely serves as a vehicle that is eventually discarded. The real you, the soul, resides in the physical body, and when it dies, your soul with its memories is freed and taken to heaven or hell.
Although the soul is eternal, it can be attacked by an arrested development spirit which hinders emotional growth. Additionally, the soul can sustain damage through traumas, fear and anxiety, which manifests as a lifetime of difficulty filled with sickness and disease in the physical body. The good news is that the evil spirits can be cast out and the Holy Spirit can repair all damage.
