Operation Epic Fury Day 2

President Trump has said he “agrees to talk” on day 2 and he claimed he has “multiple off ramps” in a recent interview. This is a curious response when they were talking with signs of progress on the day before these strikes started. He claims this will be a massive and ongoing military campaign and major combat operations. In his typically wild fashion he is taking out of both sides out of his mouth.

Iran is a massive country and may be reviled by a good percentage of its population but it will probably pull together against the US and Israel much like the US did after Pearl Harbor and 911. In addition, all of our NATO allies are opposed to these operations or express regret that they are taking place.

An easy off ramp may not be available in the short term with the murder of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Khamenei was considered the be a moderate who signed an edict opposing nuclear weapons. He was replaced by a hardliner named Alireza Arafi. The Islamic Shia sect globally are very angry over this operation and have begun to attack some US embassies in the region. Embassies in Pakistan and Iraq are under attack. This may expand to other countries.

Saddam Operation vs Today

When Saddam invaded Kuwait he wrecked the country, brutalized the population, and blew up every oil well in Kuwait when he was forced out. Saddam had been used by the US to counter Iran in the region until the day he invaded Kuwait. Everyone in the region backed the operation in Kuwait except for the Palestinians, Yemen, and Libya. Our NATO allies backed the US operation in Kuwait. Israel was told to stand down and stay out of the way otherwise the coalition would fracture.

Today this is strictly a US Israeli operation in its beginning. The Sunni monarchs may join as the US bases and Trump hotels are being hit in their territories. In addition hotels and buildings used by US forces are also being struck. The Sunni monarchs may do nothing as long as these are the targets. A good percentage of their populations revile Israel.

The Attack

Israel opened the attack with a large number of sorties out of Israel using 200 fighter jets as well as hundreds of missile launches from Israel and US forces across Iran covering a large portion of the country. At the outset they killed a large number of leaders, air defense systems, communications systems, and command and control systems. It is reported that 200 buildings have been damaged.

The Israeli Defense Forces said that it launched strikes “targets of the Iranian terror regime in the heart of Tehran,” after establishing air superiority over the city. It later shared footage showing strikes on what was described as a “headquarters of the Iranian terror regime” there.

US B-2’s have entered Iran to destroy deep underground missile storage facilities. The US has been working to destroy Iran’s navy and its command and control.

Defense against Iran

Iran has appeared to have switched to a decentralized military command system using drones, short range ballistic missiles as well as long ranged and hyper-sonic ballistic missiles. They mix these in attacks against Israel and US bases in the region with some success. The goal is for their adversaries to expend their anti missiles defenses.

Israel depends on the Thaad missile system. Each missile costs 13 million dollars and only 96 are produced annually. On January 29, 2026 an agreement was signed to increase production to 400 per year. That will take some time to implement.

The Patriot system has the same problem. Yearly production was only 350 but is being ramped up to 600. Much of this production is being expended in Ukraine and Israel. Some has to be set aside to be used for other countries defenses across the globe. Some systems were already purchased by countries like Korea and Poland and they are waiting for their deliveries.

The Counter Strikes

Iran is slowly and methodically hitting US bases in the Sunni monarchies trying to drain away the anti missile stocks in this region as well. Iran has planned their attack sequencing and targeting very carefully to achieve this goal. Iran has started to use cluster munitions against Israel. Israel is attempting intercepts which are successful at times and at times not.

Videos seem to show that Iran has started to use hypersonic MRV – Multiple Re-entry Vehicles creating panic, confusion, and high destruction in Tel Aviv.

In addition to the Sunni monarchies being hit Erbil International Airport in Iraq is being hit as well. Israel’s Port of Haifa appears to have taken a direct hit. The French base, Camp de la Paix in Abu Dhabi was reportedly struck. Iranian missiles are successfully hitting central Israel. One reported hit on Israel’s Dimona Nuclear Site was taken down quickly.

Videos are pouring in on strikes on Israel. Ambulances are heading to the site of an alleged missile impact in Jerusalem. The UK appears to have relented and appears to be ready to join the operation against Iran. It is reported that Iran nearly hit a bunker near an Israeli cabinet meeting while it was in progress with a hypersonic missile.

China and Russia

China has been sharing satellite images with Iran to perfect their targeting. In addition, they have been sharing some of these images with the world. China is currently shadowing the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian sea. It was reported that Iran had fired a volley of ballistic missiles at the carrier but missed.

The Russians have issued the usual statements. Iran had previously rejected their help setting up anti aircraft systems only agreeing to accept the weapons without support of instructors.

Economy

Oil is projected to jump $20.0 a barrel putting the price above $90.00. Iran has closed the straight of Hormuz and at least one tanker has been hit trying to run out to open sea. Shipping insurance has been suspended. The longer this lasts the greater the global economic damage.

Conclusion

Trump has said these strikes will last a month. There is a good change the US and Israel will expend their anti missiles stocks by then and will be relying on aircraft intercept of drones and missiles. Iran will take the heavy blows and attempt to wreck all the US bases in the region.

Israel has a few refineries, water treatment plants, and power plants. If Iran continues to target those it could make Israel unlivable without water and air conditioning. If things go that direction Israel will threaten Iran in back channels with nuclear annihilation. These Zionists are crazy enough to carry out their threats. Everyone in the region knows what they are capable of doing.

It is predicted that Trumps base is going to leave him. The Democrats stand to make enormous gains in the next election cycle. It matters not to Israel, they control both parties through their proxies in the US. Channels showing unfavorable coverage are being shut down and items are being taken down as fast as they go up. We will see later what day three brings.
