German produces about 24% of EU output. German industry was supported by cheap Russian energy exports used to drive its industrial base. The planned Nord Stream pipeline was completed and subsequently destroyed as a sidebar to the Ukraine war. The Russians were happy to export their energy to Germany. Now Germans are stuck with much higher energy costs from other sources as sanctions and war have cut that long term relationship off. In addition their hard push to a 100% “green” economy has weakened their energy grid and helped to raise energy prices.
Some analysts say the German economy will recover and other say they are in deep trouble. They vastly underfunded NATO since its inception. Their military is in no shape to engage in combat. Some say their military has rotted away as they put funding into social programs instead of its NATO military obligations. Trump has forced them to come to terms with NATO funding which will effect their social progams and benefits.
In addition President Trump is pushing tarriffs and forcing countries like Germany to move production to the US. A very favorable post World War 2 economic structure was laid out to help West Germany rebuild so it would not fall into the Soviet Marxist orbit. They became an economic powerhouse and the current US administration wants to remove those incentives and normalize economic incentives back to the United States benefit. To be fair, the US has spent more than its fair share to support NATO and has been deeply helpful in helping their former enemies rebuild after World War 2.
At the creation of the EU the debts were never consolidated. That leaves the wealthy EU countries backing to bail out the weaker EU countries through the EU’s banking institutions. This happened in 2015 when Greece nearly defaulted on their sovereing debt. Their bonds interest rates exploded to attract new bondholders. Sovereign debt default is far worse than a stock market crash. Bonds are the foundation of the global financial system.
That being said David Wilkerson was given a prophecy in 1973 about a global economic collapse staring in Germany, moving to Japan and then engulfing the whole world. It sounds like the end of the post World War ll economic order. Be aware.
In 1973 in the US one wage earner could easily support a whole family. Growing up in that era in California property was cheap, families were large, stores were closed on Sundays, families sat down at the table and ate together, small business owners controlled main street, massive corporate retail structures were few and far between, people when to church on Sundays. A Lebanese business creator in the US once told me “its to difficult to run a business and compete against the giants.”
Much of what David Wilkerson said since 1973 has come to pass. Most of it was unheard of in the era in which this prophecy was given. One would have been crazy to think what Pastor Wilkerson said was going to happen. It did and worse followed. We should plan on more of this type of instabilty and change in the future.

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
