Resurrection Life of Jesus Church

We are now going to study the different classes which are taught in this school. It is important to understand that students don’t have a choice to select and drop certain subjects. The curriculum is mandated by God, and must be taken. Romans 9:9-24

Let’s refresh one more time the teaching concerning time. The Bible tells us that a thousand earth years is like one day to God. 2 Peter 3:8b

Using this information, we can calculate the following:

• One hour in heaven is 41.67 years on earth.

• One minute in heaven is 8 months and 8 days on earth.

• One second in heaven is 3 days and 22 hours on earth.

The maximum time allotted for a person on this campus is 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 48 seconds (heaven time). Earth time is 120 years. Genesis 6:3

OBEDIENCE
The first class in which each student is automatically enrolled is OBEDIENCE 101.

The introduction to this class is REPENTANCE, LEADING TO SALVATION. Matthew 16:24-26; Luke 12:15-21; John 3:1-8; Romans10:8-13; Acts 3:19

OBEDIENCE 101 is completed when the person has been saved and then baptized in water through immersion. Matthew 3:13-17, 28:18-20; Romans 6:1-8

Graduating from OBEDIENCE 101 and starting 201 is exciting at the beginning.

The introduction to this class is TO BE BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT! Acts 1:1-8, 2:1-4

Due to faulty teaching, most Christians miss this event and thus will try to go on in the class, not in the power of the Holy Spirit, but in the flesh. 1 Corinthians 2:9-16; Ephesians 6:10-18

The next topic to learn is surrendering your finances to God. This is known in the Bible as TITHING. Malachi 3:6-12

Very little is going to happen in your life until you have embraced this teaching and are100% faithful. It is important to understand that if you do not tithe to God, He will have you tithe to auto repair shops, hospitals, dentists, plumbers, etc. The list is very long. Tithing is not an option, it is a command! Matthew 6:28-34

Rejecting idolatry – Deuteronomy 18:9-13; Exodus 20:1-5

Then comes the real hard class, OBEDIENCE 301; GIVING UP YOUR LIFE! Luke 9:23-26; 57-62

Self must die, and Jesus must reign. John 15:1-14

This class is also known as the “school of hard knocks.” Most students spend a number of earth years taking this class before they graduate.

God will set up the test Himself. He will take the most precious thing in your life and ask you to give it up. God is not sentimental, neither will He change. The test will continue to be there for you to take until you pass or die, whichever comes first. For Abraham, the most precious thing was his son. Genesis 22:1-18

Now comes the final class, OBEDIENCE 401; SPENDING YOUR LIFE FOR GOD! Matthew 19:27-30

Giving it all for God! It is a life of serving, not ruling! John 13:1-17
