What are you doing of significance today that will matter three-hundred-million years from now?
As believers, we all know we should tell others about the Lord, but we often don’t know how. This practical book will give you ideas for starting conversations, examples of witnessing situations, and answers to common questions. It will help motivate and equip you to reach both friends and strangers for Jesus for the rest of your life!
What others are saying:
If you’ve been dragging your feet in sharing the gospel to the lost, this is the book for you! Mark Cahill inspires and motivates us to do this work of evangelism. We have the only answer for eternity. In one day 150,000 people will die. Where will they go when they die? We need to step out of our comfort zone and do work that will make a difference three hundred million plus years from now. Other things that we’re busy doing will not matter at all three hundred million plus years from now.
Mark points out that salvation of the lost is God’s burden; that’s what He wants and that’s what his servants should be doing with their gift of time. Mark shares techniques and encourages us. He examines all our excuses or reasons that we don’t witness more, and reveals the common lies of the devil, which greatly hinder our ministry. He does not condemn us for our hesitancy; rather he inspires us to join in the work of God.
He gives us ideas to stir up conversations, like the fact that ten out of ten people die. We will be dead far longer than we live! He tells of a time when he had been teaching a group of teen-agers about witnessing to others about Jesus. Mark pointed out that the world hates us (I Peter 4:14), but that your reward in heaven is great when you are rejected (Luke 6:22-23). The teens then went to the mall with Mark to evangelize. If a person rejected their words, the teens gave each other a high five and said, “ca-ching” (the sound of a cash register), to celebrate the rewards being stored for them in heaven.
The book is a joy to read, and it will get you moving.
