Operation Epic Fury Day 6

Operation Epic Fury Day 6
Both Iran and Israel continue to pummel each others territory. The rumors and stories are flying fast from all sides. Iran continues to hit US bases in the region. Attacks on oil production facilities are rising. The IRGC continues to launch waves of missiles into Israel. Friends on the West Bank tell us missiles are continually flying overhead. Some are very advanced.
A food shortage is looming among the Gulf Cooperation Councils countries as the Persian Gulf is closed to traffic and imports into the region are stopped. Most of the oil production has been shut down so exporting oil by tanker out is mostly out of the question despite Trumps claim the US navy will escort tankers. His claims are absurd considering modern missile technology and sure to drag the US in deeper if allowed.
It is reported that some Arab counties in the region have asked Iran not to hit their facilities in exchange for a two month shutdown of their energy facilities. It is reported that Iran has attacked an oil pipeline that accounts for 30% of Israel oil.
President Trump still thinks he can topple the regime and that he can participate in selecting the next leader. This is similar to him saying that he would end the Russia-Ukraine war in 24 hours if elected. He has no concept of history. There are no checks and balances.
President Putin has said he may stop supplying gas to Europe. This is in addition to the Gulf supplies lost.
The snake is coiled and rattling
The British appear to be moving closer to entering the war. It is reported that NATO Secretary General Rutte stated that the bloc is preparing to invoke the article on collective defense and declare war on Iran.
Iraq is struggling not to be dragged into the war. They have a significant population friendly with Iran in addition to political parties aligned with Iran.
It is reported that French forces are active in Iraq operating against Iran. These French Foreign Legion troops are brutal.
The Kurd’s have stated that they have no plans at this time to attack Iran despite the stories floating around that 1000s of their soldiers have crossed the border. They have little chance of success. Other Peshmerga fighters in Iran say they will protect Iran’s borders adding to the chaos.
Azerbaijan has a fairly close relationship with Israel and President Trump. It is considered to be another proxy operator to be used against Iran.
Israel exported arms to Azerbaijan which helped them overcome Armenia in a recent dispute. It has been long been rumored that Israel maintains bases in Azerbaijan. It would make perfect sense for them to run surveillance and operations on Iran from that location. A drone hit their airport and Iran denies the drone came for their territory.
Azerbaijan has a significant historical territory and populations in Iran it would like recover. Iran is too strong for that now but it is in their interest to weaken Iran.
Conclusions
Iran is a fortress. Its geography is rugged and well suited for defense. Its is three times bigger than Iraq and in many ways more rugged than Afghanistan.
This may go down as the largest military blunder in US history. It may end US presence in the Gulf region if this drags on. The economic damage grows by the day. The US media and the political right is gloating over the death and destruction. Neocon John McCain’s ghost came back to haunt us with his song bomb bomb Iran.
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
