Resurrection Life of Jesus Church

The fact of the matter is that Jesus did not come to the earth to start a spiritual movement, but to provide a way for you to know Him. God is not interested in friendship; He wants family members. Meaning, if you stood in front of the Son of God, would Jesus claim you as His own? John 1:12

There are a lot of religious people who are going to be in for a nasty surprise when they stand in judgment in front of their Creator. They thought they were Christians because they volunteered in church and did other works in Jesus’ name. Matthew 7:21-23

God doesn’t want anyone to end up in hell. 2 Peter 3:9

The Bible makes it clear that God is interested in developing a relationship with you.  John 3:16-17; Revelation 3:20

PAUL KNEW JESUS
The apostle Paul was a passionate follower of God, meaning he did everything to be aligned with the Old Testament Mosaic law. Philippians 3:4-6

He gave up his life as a Pharisee to know Jesus. verse 7

The old life was discarded to acquire more knowledge about the Son of God. verse 8

Paul recognized that the righteousness of Jesus was superior to his own. verse 9

He knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He was fully acquainted with the character of Jesus, the work that was done on the cross, the subsequent resurrection, the suffering Jesus endured, and like Christ, he too was willing to die. verse 10

Paul knew that he was going to be resurrected just like Jesus. verse 11

PURSUE THE PRIZE
Don’t be intimidated by the aforementioned verses if you don’t fully understand them. Take the time to study them. Find out what they mean. Learn. Gain knowledge. Become spiritually wise.

Think of the Bible as a treasure hunt. There are clues to an awesome prize, but it is not spelled out for you. This means you have to research the text to gain insight. Many have gone on to claim the prize, some gave up and walked away, and others just rejected the treasure hunt, claiming it was stupid, worthless, or not worth their time.

HOW ABOUT YOU?
Do you know personally know Jesus? It’s a simple enough question that most people – Christian or not – struggle to answer because the Gospel message has been simultaneously complicated and diluted.

It has nothing to do with being a church member, doing good works, tithing, water baptism, or prayer. In fact, it’s not a religious question at all.

Let’s examine the same question in a different way. Does the Son of God know you as a son or daughter?

We often make it difficult to connect with God, wanting to do something, anything, since we think it can’t be as simple as just talking to Jesus.

• Can you drink a glass of water? John 7:37

• Can you open a door? John 10:9

• Can you ask Jesus to save you? Romans 10:13

Of course, you can! Anyone can easily do all three of those points. It’s just a matter of deciding whether or not you have the courage to do so. Don’t let fear hold you back.

LEGACY
What will be your legacy? Will you leave a mark and build a name for yourself so that people remember you? What is the focus of your time on earth?
