LIFE’S ISSUES
Everyone has problems; they are a fact of life. You will have to deal with negative issues related to health, relationship (spouse, family, friendship), workplace, financial, failure, emptiness, etc. and more than likely you will face more than one such problem at the same time.

Sadness and depression easily set in as your mind constantly dwells on the problem at hand, your sleep is affected, food doesn’t taste good anymore, and you wonder how you’re going to get through this issue.

GOD IS IN CONTROL
There are some truths found in the Bible that are especially helpful in times of trouble.

1. There is no crisis in heaven.

2. God is on the throne.

3. God has a solution to every problem.

God is not fazed by circumstances and people. Psalms 2:1-12

He views our issues differently and want us to have joy. Isaiah 55:6-13

Nehemiah led the third exodus from the Babylonian exile. With his leadership, the wall of Jerusalem was rebuilt in record time, but the task of reviving his countrymen would take longer. Nehemiah 8:5-12

It is vital to guard your joy. Supernatural joy is not a happiness that comes from a situation, but an inner joy and peace that comes from the Holy Spirit. It sustains you in the hard times because you know there is no crisis in heaven, God is in control, and He has a solution to every problem. Philippians 4:4-7

Are you willing to implicitly trust Jesus with every area of your life? Proverbs 3:5-6

Put God first and He will reward you. Matthew 6:25-34

Jesus will work with your faith – great or small. Matthew 8:5-13

God doesn’t want you to be paralyzed by fear. 2 Timothy 1:7

• You have the power to stand up as a Christian. This is the same power Jesus referenced prior to the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8

• Love can make a man fearless of danger to endure persecution. A husband can be inspired to boldness because of the love he has for his wife, children, home, and country. A timid man can become a firebrand for the gospel because the love of Jesus insatiably drives him to the unsaved. Romans 5:6-8

• The right state of mind is important to make correct decisions. No one wants to be around someone who is always changing their mind. James 1:5-8

King David’s life is well documented. He repeatedly experienced God’s provision.  Psalm 37:1-40

At some point you are going to need to make a decision if you are going to trust God.  Hebrews 11:6

Don’t look at what everyone else is doing. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Hebrews 12:1-3

SUMMARY
Keep praising God – regardless of the circumstances. It is important to recognize that there is no crisis in heaven, God is in control, and He has a solution to every problem. Romans 8:26-31

What will people say about you? Matthew 5:13-16

Remember, it’s not so important how you begin your life after salvation, but how you finish it!
