YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS
“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” Exodus 20:16
This commandment is in reality all about lying! Proverbs 12:17
It is one of the seven abominations listed in the Bible. Proverbs 6:16-19
1. If we are called to testify before a court, we are not to lie. Matthew 24:8-12
2. If we are requested to give information about a person, we are not to lie. Assumption is the same as lying. Matthew 12:35-37
3. If we witness an accident or a crime, it is the duty of the Christian to help out and be truthful in reporting it. Luke 10:25-37
4. When we falsely slander a person, we are bearing false witness.
Jeremiah 6:22-30
The entertainment industry is slandering God’s creation, making a mockery of the family, mocking morality and destroying pure holy living. The producers are the pimps, the actors and actresses are the whores, and the viewing public are the whoremongers. James 4:1-4
Jesus told us how strongly He feels against leading children astray.
Matthew 18:6-10
God does not tolerate liars in any way, shape or form! Revelation 21:8, 22:15
There is only one remedy, repent and humbly seek God’s forgiveness.
James 4:5-11
DO YOU NEED TO REPENT TODAY?
Remember, it’s not so important how you begin your life after salvation, but how you finish it!
