HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER
“Honor your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God gives you.” Exodus 20:12
If children do not honor their parents, they cannot receive the instructions which must be passed from generation to generation. Deuteronomy 6:1-25
Just like the milk from the mother to the new born baby passes on vital essentials, so the WORD of God must be passed from one generation to the other. Joshua 22:26-34
Irregardless if your parents walk with God or not, you still need to honor them. Honoring your parents does not mean that you have to agree with them if they are not in the will of God, but to respect them. God used them to give you the gift of life. Romans 8:28-31
When parents are in the will of God, children must obey them. Ephesians 6:1-3
Parents are not to provoke their children. Ephesians 6:4
If a generation does not preserve its heritage, then their children and grandchildren will destroy themselves and the nation. 2 Kings 17:1-18
Remember, it’s not so important how you begin your life after salvation, but how you finish it!
