EARTH – GOD’S UNIVERSITY OF FAITH

PART 1: INTRODUCTION TO GOD’S CLASSES

RLJ-685

JOHN S. TORELL

OCTOBER 10, 1999

The first students to arrive on this campus were Adam and Eve. Their first class was Obedience 101. They flunked this class. Genesis 3:1-19

As more and more students arrived on campus, most of them could not pass this class. At one time the student body became so unruly that all but eight students were executed. Genesis 6:1-8; 7:17-24

God had a hard time graduating students; very few were able to pass all of the classes. Here are a few students who managed to graduate: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua and some more. Hebrews 11:1-40

God rewrote the charter of His University and sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to be the new Chancellor. Hebrews 8:1-13

With this new charter and power available to each student, more and more students were able to graduate. John 1:1-14, 3:1-8; Acts 1:1-8, 2:1-4

Here are the classes which must be completed for a full graduation:

• Obedience 101 – Deuteronomy 28:1-68

• Morality 201 – Exodus 20:1-17

• Love 301 – 1 Corinthians 13:1-13

• Truth 401 – John 4:21-24; 1 John 1:4-7

• Integrity 501 – James 5:1-12; Revelation 21:8, 22:15

• Faith 601 – Hebrews 11:1-6

• Mercy 701 – Matthew 18:21-35

• Forgiveness 801 – Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11:25-26

• Patience 901 – Matthew 17:14-21, 26:36-50, 57-75, 27:33-37; Luke
23:1-25; Mark 15:15-20, 29-32

God is allowing students to pass if they have been born again but their positions in heaven will be limited! 1 Corinthians 3:11-15

Salvation is by grace and grace alone, but God still wants growth in each student! Ephesians 2:8-10

God’s order in His educational system is as follows:

1. Arrive on the campus – physical birth

2. Kindergarten – To grow up physically

3. Grade School – Being born again

4. High School – To be set free and baptized in the Holy Spirit

5. College – Growing spiritually

6. Post Graduate work – Achieving spiritual maturity

7. Doctor’s degree – Being a living stone – 1 Peter 2:1-9

8. Becoming employed in the Kingdom of God – producing more than you receive

9. Death – Graduation from the University of God – 2 Timothy 4:6-8

All things will work out for good for them who love God! Romans 8:26-39

Remember, it’s not so important how you begin your life after salvation, but how you finish it!
