The Amish are widely known and appreciated for their quiet industry, their religious devotion, and their unique culture, but they have rarely produced stories of cross-cultural missionaries. Until now, that is.
Miss Nancy is the inspiring and fascinating story of God’s work in the life of an Amish missionary to Belize. As a result of her years of selfless service to the small Central American nation, Miss Nancy Coblentz is known and loved by thousands, from street waifs to statesmen, from paupers to a prime minister. Whether in drudgery, danger, or success, Miss Nancy’s dauntless faith and devotion have inspired and challenged countless people. Her story is both entertaining and edifying. As you read it, you will be amazed at the God who uses ordinary people to produce extraordinary results.
About the Author:
Harvey Yoder was born in 1951 and raised in an Amish community until he was 20. He joined a Mennonite church and lived in various communities until he moved with his wife and family to Western NC in 2000, where they are active in a non-denominational community church. He has travelled all over the world to gather material for his over 14 books, and counting. “The worst thing about being an author is the traveling and the best thing is meeting ordinary people with amazing testimonies.” All of his books are the result of hours of personal interviews.
