THE DESTINY OF THE HUMAN RACE
PART 8: THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM

JESUS AT JERUSALEM
The earth is peaceful as the following events have taken place:
• Lucifer locked up in the bottomless pit.
• The Antichrist and the False Prophet deposited in the Lake of Fire.
• Everyone with the Mark of the Beast in hell.
• All fallen angels confined to their abodes in the atmosphere.
• All demons restrained from doing any evil work.
The gigantic craft of Jesus dwarves the other craft from heaven. It is a command center and portable throne used some 3,000 years earlier when Jesus met Ezekiel.
“Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.
As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.
And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.” (Ezekiel 1:15-28)
This time Jesus has come to the earth as the King of kings and Lord of lords. He intends to rule the earth for a thousand years and His throne room was to be built on the old temple ground. The temple of the Antichrist sits on the spot, but an angelic construction crew dismantles the unholy place and clears the ground to restore the size to its original size of 36 acres.
There is no further need for a temple or for sacrifices because the Lamb who was slain now dwells openly among men. The veil is not merely torn, it has been effectively rendered obsolete. The Son of God is the sanctuary. Humanity beholds the radiant glory once hidden behind cherubim. Humanity stands where only priests once trembled to enter. The throne is visible. Worship is no longer mediated through symbols like altars, sacrificial lambs, a veil, a mercy seat, but is offered face to face to Jesus Christ.
A TOTAL DISASTER
Jesus decides to conduct an aerial survey of the earth and invites King David and the appointed governors from the believers in Christ to join Him. There is nothing but devastation as they fly over what is left of the land masses. The ocean waters look like blood and the lakes are polluted with bitter water and the vegetation on land looks sickly.
“The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.” (Revelation 8:7-11)
As King David and the governors witness the devastation, they witness the destruction carried out against the Antichrist system. Jesus assures them this is not the first time the earth has been damaged. He describes the final battle for earth in eternity past when Michael and his angels defeated and captured Lucifer at the conclusion of the space war. The earth was refurbished in five days (5,000 earth years), but this time only a day (1,000 years) remains in the earth’s existence.
“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” (Revelation 12:7-9)
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” (Genesis 1:2)
REFURBISHING THE EARTH
There are no surprises for the Godhead as they foresaw this destruction before the creation and made plans to quickly refurbish the earth. Angels are in the process of cleaning up the oceans, rivers, and lake waters, restoring them to pristine condition. Other angels are cleaning the air, restoring the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide and the other trace gases. Another contingent of angels reconditions the soil for vegetation and farming, followed by more angels who repopulate the planet with animals, birds, and fishes. When they are done, it is difficult to imagine that the earth had even been damaged.
HEALING
Jesus is dwelling among humanity in glory and miraculous healings occur as the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk, the mute can speak. What was broken by sin and suffering is now made whole. The deserts are transformed as water becomes abundant in the arid regions and the barrenness of once empty land gives way to an abundance of growth.
A highway called the Way of Holiness is established. Its use is reserved exclusively for the redeemed of the Lord and the wicked cannot use it. No lion or ravenous beast will be there, and the way will be safe for God’s people.
The passage closes with a triumphant promise. It is a picture of salvation in its fullness – physical healing, spiritual cleansing, safe passage, and eternal joy in the presence of God.
“Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” (Isaiah 35:5-10)
NO MORE KILLING
There is peace and harmony during the Messiah’s millennial reign. Natural enemies in the animal kingdom like the wolf and lamb, the leopard with the young goat, the calf and the young lion live together in safety where the prey does not fear the predator.
Powerful and dangerous animals will coexist with vulnerable ones and a little child will lead them. The cow and bear feed side by side, the lion eats straw like the ox, and a nursing child plays safely near a serpent’s den. The removal of violence and fear is only possible because of Jesus Christ dwelling on earth in full power.
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” (Isaiah 11:6-9)
This verse echoes the same vision in all God’s holy mountain. The dust being the serpent’s meat is a reminder of the serpent’s curse, showing that evil is restrained and judged, while peace dominates the renewed creation.
“The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.” (Isaiah 65:25)
These two passages present a picture of restored creation under God’s righteous rule. Hostility is replaced with harmony, danger with safety, and violence with peace. The transformation reflects the reign of King Jesus. It is a vision of the curse reversed, the knowledge of God filling the earth, and everlasting peace in His holy kingdom.
RESTORING VEGETATION
Jesus will open rivers in high places and fountains in the midst of valleys. He will turn the wilderness into pools of water and the dry land into springs. In barren desert regions, He will plant trees and transform lifeless ground into a flourishing landscape.
The purpose of this miraculous renewal is so that people may see, know, consider, and understand that Jesus has made this possible – the Messiah of Israel.
“I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.” (Isaiah 41:18-20)
LONG LIFE
Jesus will rejoice in Jerusalem and in the covenant people of God. The sound of weeping and crying will be heard no more. Sorrow will give way to gladness because the Son of God dwells among them in favor, rather than judgment.
No infant will die and no old man will fail to live out his full years. Anyone who dies at a hundred years old will still be considered young, while the sinner who dies at a hundred will be regarded as cursed.
“And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.” (Isaiah 65:19-20)
A NEW DAY
When Jesus returns to Jerusalem, one of His priorities is to meet with the people that survived the Great Tribulation and did not receive the Mark of the Beast. Temporary shelters are erected and thousands of resurrected believers organize the public as they arrive from all over the world. Close to 100,000 are found. They are scared and wary of Jesus because of the Antichrist propaganda which thrived on emotion, repetition, fear, and partial truth. The surviving humans are patiently exposed to the truth by the resurrected believers who teach about the Godhead, Lucifer, the angelic rebellion, the war in heaven, the trial of Lucifer, his appeal, and the creation of Adam and Eve.
It takes time to educate the public about the Bible and how the Gospel message has changed due to Lucifer being chained in the bottomless abyss. Just like the angels had one chance to side with Lucifer or stay with God, the public will also have to choose when the millennial kingdom ends.
“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.” (Revelation 20:7-9)
REPOPULATING THE EARTH
Jesus initiates a repopulation of the earth for the third time – first time was with Adam and the second time took place after Noah’s flood – and the survivors begin to procreate and subdue the earth.
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:28)
“And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” (Genesis 9:1)
When the continents and islands have been restored, the oxygen in the atmosphere returns to the same level as it was when Adam and Eve were created. Lush vegetation covers the planet and all fauna have been restored. It is very much like it was before the fall of mankind.
ROD OF IRON
Life during the millennium is wonderful for everyone who obeys the laws of Jesus. There was no coddling of criminals and sinners when Jesus set up the laws for the twelve tribes of Israel through Moses in the Old Testament.
“And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” (Revelation 19:15)
Under the Mosaic Law, certain sins were explicitly punishable by death. These offenses generally fell into three broad categories: religious apostasy, moral perversion, and civil crimes that undermined covenant order. The death penalty underscored the holiness of God and the seriousness of preserving Israel as a covenant nation.
Idolatry and False Worship
Worshiping other gods. Exodus 22:20
Serving or enticing others to serve other gods. Deuteronomy 13:6-10
Apostasy to pagan worship. Deuteronomy 17:2-7
Blasphemy
Blaspheming the Name of the Lord. Leviticus 24:16
False Prophecy
Presumptuously speaking in God’s name. Deuteronomy 18:20
Profaning the Sabbath
Deliberate Sabbath violation. Exodus 31:14; Numbers 15:32-36
Child Sacrifice
Offering children to Molech. Leviticus 20:2
Sexual Sins (Capital Offenses)
These were viewed as covenant-breaking and corrupting the nation’s holiness.
• Adultery – Leviticus 20:10
• Incest (various close relations). Leviticus 20:11-12, 14
• Homosexual acts. Leviticus 20:13
• Bestiality – Leviticus 20:15-16
• Rape of a betrothed virgin. Deuteronomy 22:25
Crimes Undermining Family Authority
Striking or cursing father or mother. Exodus 21:15, 17
Persistent, incorrigible rebellion (the “stubborn and rebellious son”). Deuteronomy 21:18-21
Violent Crimes
Murder – Exodus 21:12 (Premeditated murder required death; accidental manslaughter allowed refuge in a city of refuge. Numbers 35.)
Kidnapping (man-stealing). Exodus 21:16
Judicial and Covenant Treachery
Bearing false witness in a capital case (receiving the penalty they sought to impose). Deuteronomy 19:16-21
Entering the sanctuary unlawfully (in certain priestly violations). Numbers 3:10
SUMMARY
Since no one can repent and be born again during the millennial kingdom, the laws of grace and forgiveness that existed prior to the catching away (rapture) are not applicable either. Thus, when someone sins, the punishment is immediate death.
Remember, it’s not so important how you begin your life after salvation, but how you finish it!
