b) Corruption of human character 2 Timothy 3:1-5

i) Corruption is irreversible.

ii) The root problem: love of self

(1) Leading to breakdown of family.

(2) Leading to breakdown of society.

(3) A situation without laws.

(4) Leading to Antichrist.

2) Align with God’s primary objectives

a) A wise man builds his house on the Rock. Matthew 7:24-27

i) The only kingdom that will not be shaken. Hebrews 12:25-29

ii) God will shake all nations. Haggai 2:7

iii) The kind of person who cannot be shaken. 1 John 2:17

iv) Right priorities Matthew 6:33

b) A people for the kingdom. Titus 2:11–14

i) Purified by Christ for Himself.

ii) In response, we must purify ourselves. This is the scriptural evidence that we are genuinely looking forward to Christ’s return. 1 John 3:2-3
