THE FOUNDING OF ZIONISM
Theodor Herzl (1860-1904) was born in Hungary and commissioned by the Kabbalistic World Government to organize the immigration of Jews to Palestine in order to create the political state of Israel. His credentials are impressive. He was an attorney, journalist, playwright, and a political activist.
Herzl moved to Paris in 1894 as a journalist for the Vienna newspaper “Neue Freie Presse” (New Free Press) He became a political activist, promoting the formation of a Jewish state in Palestine, and in 1896 he published Der Judenstaat (The State of the Jews) in German. He believed that in order to create a Jewish state in Palestine, it would require violence to force the comfortable European Jews to move to Palestine. He was willing to let “whole branches of Jews” be sacrificed for the greater good. One of the first things he did was to suggest individual Jews should move to Palestine and purchase property.
The book is considered to be the foundational document of the Zionist movement. Herzl said, “The Maccabeans will rise again,” referring to the unsuccessful attempt by the Jews to drive the Romans out of the land of Israel between 200-150 B.C.1
Theodor Herzl was arguably the founding power of the Zionist Organization in 1897. The first Zionist Congress took place in Basel, Switzerland the same year.
BIRTH OF CHRISTIAN ZIONISM
Theodor Herzl was visited by an Anglican priest named William Hechler (1845-1931) who had read Der Judenstaat. Hechler felt that Herzl’s book was a move of God to start the project of returning the Jews to Palestine.
As a Jew, Herzl had no love for the British clergyman who would prove to be a useful idiot that opened doors to the political royals in Germany, which in turn would bring finances to Herzl. When the first Zionist congress was held, Hechler was invited as a non-voting member, and Herzl declared that Hechler was the first Christian Zionist.
In time, Hechler was able to spread Herzl’s message about Jews returning to Palestine and a number of American evangelists and preachers climbed on the bandwagon. The majority of evangelical and Pentecostal denominations today are hardcore Christian Zionists.
Over the years, the Christian Zionists have steamrolled the prophecies of Ezekiel and declared the foundation of the political state of Israel that was founded in 1948 was an act of God and a fulfillment of prophecy.
VALLEY OF DRY BONES
When Ezekiel was shown the valley of dry bones, God stated the remains were not just of the southern kingdom of Judah, but of the twelve tribes as a whole. This was significant because the northern tribes did not exist at the time of Ezekiel because they had vanished in Assyria. Ezekiel 37:1-11
There were people from the twelve tribes dating back to Jacob, who had also believed in the future Messiah and thus had been saved. The first one was Abraham, a Chaldean, who became the founding father of Israel. Romans 4:11-22
All the men and women of the twelve tribes who exercised faith in God, repented of their sins and believed in the future Messiah, were saved and their souls/spirits were kept in Paradise. Luke 16:19-25
It is significant that God told Ezekiel that these bones had come from graves. These were bones of dead Israelites from the northern and southern kingdoms. Ezekiel 37:12- 13
The Kabbalistic Zionists – together with their Christian counterparts – state that the graves represent the “nations of the world.” This false statement violates what God said, but the lie has been repeated so many times that Christians now believe that it is true.
The majority of Christians incorrectly believe that God restored Israel in 1948 and Jews were brought from many nations.2 They misquote Jeremiah as justification:
“But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.” (Jeremiah 16:15-16)
The fact remains that the prophets, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, were told that God would supernaturally bring a remnant of the twelve tribes back to the Promised Land. These are the people who have been resurrected from the dead. Thus, the Zionists cannot claim that these Bible verses validate the political state of Israel as it exists today.
Furthermore, from the time from Abraham until the destruction of Jerusalem in 587 B.C., only a remnant of the twelve tribes exercised faith in God and the future Messiah. Romans 9:27-29
THE OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS
Where are the Old Testament saints now? Their bones are in graves, but their souls and spirits are in heaven. When did they leave Paradise? When Jesus ascended to heaven after spending 40 days on earth after the resurrection, He emptied Paradise and took the Old Testament believers with Him. Ephesians 4:8-10
After the ascension of Jesus, all believers in Christ are now taken to heaven with their soul/spirit when the physical body dies. 2 Corinthians 5:8
At the time of the great catching away, all believers consisting of Old and New Testament saints, including those already in heaven, will receive their resurrected bodies. 2 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Then the saved people of the twelve tribes of Israel, along with all Gentile believers in Christ, shall return to earth with Jesus, who will defeat the Antichrist at the battle of Armageddon. Revelation 19:11-21
THE REUNITED TRIBES
There will be two kinds of people in the thousand years kingdom.
1. The believers in Christ who will have resurrected spiritual/physical bodies just like Jesus after His resurrection. They will no longer be male and female, but unmarried like the angels. Matthew 22:23-32
2. There will be men and women who will survive the time of the Antichrist who did not take the Mark of the Beast. These will be Gentiles as well as Israelite descendants. They will repopulate the earth again during the millennium reign of Jesus. Ezekiel 37:15-22
I would like to note that God will identify Israelites and bring them to the land of Israel.3 These men and women will no longer defile themselves; they will walk in holiness with God.
A. This passage emphatically cannot apply to the current political state of Israel since the majority of the Jews have rejected Jesus as the Messiah.
B. The political State of Israel is full of homosexuals, particularly in Tel Aviv.
C. The modern Israelites continue to read from the Talmud and the Kabbalah, which Jesus rejected when He walked on earth.
D. The people in the land of Israel are just like the rest of the world by engaging in fornication, committing adultery, abusing drugs, and alcohol consumption.
E. Many Jews are atheists and do not believe in God. Ezekiel 37:23
KING DAVID
God is going to let the resurrected King David once again be king over Israel and he will reign over his people. There is no King David in Israel today; he is still in heaven awaiting the second return of Christ when he will be re-instated on the throne. verses 24-25
There will be a new sanctuary and a tabernacle set up in Jerusalem. It is important to understand that there is no need for a temple since the crucifixion of Jesus. The Son of God was the final sacrifice; hence, there are no more sacrifices for sin. verses 27-28
The same holds true when all believers in Christ have been moved to the new creation and the new Jerusalem. There will be no temple in the new creation. Revelation 21:22
SUMMARY
It is clear that the 37th chapter of Ezekiel has nothing to do with the current political State of Israel. The term “Christian Zionist” is really an oxymoron, an absurd expression that no true born again Christian can maintain if he wants to be honest to the Bible.
What is the difference between Theodor Herzl and the Zionists than the Maccabeans or the Jewish leadership that fought Rome in 66 A.D., or the uprisings in 115 A.D., or the attempt to set up a political state by Simon bar Kokhba in 132 A.D.?
The First Covenant ceased to exist the moment that Jesus was resurrected from the dead. It ushered in the Second Covenant that was open to Jew and Gentile alike. The apostle Paul clearly stated there is only one faith and that is in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:24-29
Jesus emphatically stated He is the only way to heaven. John 14:6
Every Christian must make a decision:
1. Are you going to be true to Jesus and the Bible?
2. Will you be politically correct and believe the Zionist lie?
1. Theodor Herzl, Der Judenstaat, p.44
2. Why would God need men to lie, cheat, kill and destroy to accomplish the task of restoring the political State of Israel in 1948? For more information, see Biblical Truth Concerning the State of Israel.
3. One way this can be carried out is through DNA. God can identity genetic markers in the DNA which distinguishes that person as a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Remember, it’s not so important how you begin your life after salvation, but how you finish it!
Do you have an ear to hear with?
