GETTING TO KNOW THE GODHEAD
After Moses and the Levites executed the ringleaders responsible for the golden calf, Jesus sent a plague upon the people to chastise them, and the Godhead paused the virtual time run because they were frustrated that the Hebrews did not understand their rebellion was infuriating to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

The people failed to understand that the Godhead could experience emotions, anger being one of them. Numbers 12:9; Isaiah 5:25

• The Godhead does not want to be angry; instead, they want to enjoy creating and building things. Genesis 1:31

• They want to take pleasure in their people. Psalm 149:4; Philippians 2:13

• They want to bless humanity in all things. Isaiah 55:8-13; 61:1-3

• They do not tolerate doubt and unbelief. Hebrews 11:1-6

• Nor do they do tolerate idolatry. Exodus 20:1-5

• Rebellion makes them furious. 1 Samuel 15:22-28

The Godhead discussed how to communicate to Moses and the Israelites that humanity is made in the image of God. The reason mankind has emotions is that we are created in His likeness. Genesis 1:26-27

Jesus stated to God the Father and the Holy Spirit that He had no desire to enter the virtual time run and take the Hebrews to the Promised Land unless there was a change. It was decided that the Godhead’s position be made clear to Moses. Exodus 33:1-6

INTERCESSION BY MOSES
When Moses was informed that an angel was going to lead them, he began to intercede with Jesus for the people. verses 11-16

Jesus relented because He loved and respected Moses. verses 17-23

The sad thing is that the Hebrews were absolutely clueless that they had an intercessor in Moses and he had to intervene again. Numbers 16:1-50

SUMMARY
Many Christians are just as spiritually dense as the Hebrews in the wilderness. Many people resist the conviction of the Holy Spirit and do not want the love of God.

Once we are in the Kingdom of God, we often do not appreciate our salvation and complain that our needs aren’t being met. It seems the more God blesses His people, the more we want.

It is prudent to realize that God has emotions and you can trigger a negative response if you provoke Him.

God is not forgetful or absent-minded. He is an omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent being with emotions and you can trigger a negative response if you provoke Him. It is therefore prudent to walk circumspectly so that you don’t elicit the wrong emotion.

Be wise and respect God. Love Him just as He loves you. He takes pleasure in your life and wants to walk with you. Hebrews 3:7-19

Remember, it’s not so important how you begin your life after salvation, but how you finish it!
