THE ORIGIN STORY OF JESUS

PART 17: CROSSING THE SEA

THE PLANNING
The Godhead paused the virtual time run again, examined the screenshot showing the Hebrews camped next to the sea with the pillar of Fire separating them from the snarling Egyptian soldiers who wanted to bring them into compliance with their swords and spears.

If the Godhead was going to get the Israelites across the sea in one day, it could not be done double file or the line would be some 800 miles long, more importantly, it would take 35 days to get them across. Calculations showed the path would need to be three miles in order to allow the Hebrews to walk 5,000 abreast.1

An angel in charge of creating a walkway through the sea was summoned and told the Godhead needed a path to be fashioned in just one night. The bottom of the sea had to be dry enough that the people could walk on it.

The engineering for this phase of the project had been discussed ahead of time by the angels and they were ready to move. All their equipment was in place by midnight to create a mighty wind strong enough to push the water back in two directions.

The angels marked the middle of the causeway and then powerful wind machines were turned on which pushed the water back with a dry path in a few hours. Other angels were standing by to remove any debris from the sea bottom and ensure it was sufficiently dry. Some type of bulldozer was used to build ramps on the entry and exit sides of the sea floor so the Israelites could easily walk down to the bottom, cross over, and then walk up the other bank.

God does not use “magic” in the physical realm or the spirit world. He has created spiritual and physical laws and angels are engaged to do God’s bidding, and in this case, what He wanted created, built or removed. Revelation 7:1-3; 8:5; 8:10

THE SEA
The Godhead started the virtual time run and Moses was instructed to hold up his hand toward the sea. That was the signal for the angels to start their operation and clear a path through the sea. Exodus 14:19-21

When the sun rose the next morning, Moses could see God’s miraculous handiwork and he told the people to use the dry path to get to the other side. No one had seen the angels, but the result of their work was evident.

Once the last Hebrew was halfway across, angels lifted the pillar of fire that was being used to hold back the Egyptians and Pharaoh led his army after them. verse 23

The pillar shielded the Israelites from seeing the command ship of Jesus. As He looked over the situation, He could see the Egyptians rapidly gaining ground on the rear column of Hebrews and ordered angels to start removing wheels from the Egyptian chariots. Pharaoh quickly realized that the God of the Hebrews was resisting his troops and gave the order to retreat. verses 24-25

When the last Hebrew safely reached the other side of the sea, Jesus instructed Moses to hold up his hand. This was a sign for the angels to turn off the equipment that was holding the waters back and the entire Egyptian army drowned when the path collapsed. verses 26-28; 15:19

The prophetic words of Moses were fulfilled. Exodus 10:28-29

ON THE BEACH
Moses and the rest of the Hebrews could not imagine that this entire operation had personally involved the Godhead and thousands of angels. Once they were safe on the beach, Moses and the people began to celebrate the miracles they had witnessed such as being let go from Pharoah’s grasp, the march to the sea, the subsequent crossing on dry land, and the destruction of Pharoah and his army. Exodus 15:1-19

Miriam and the women sang and danced for joy. verses 20-21

THE EUPHORIA ENDS
Moses told the people to leave the beach and start walking into the wilderness. Three days later they came upon a place with a small lake. They found out the water was bitter and their praise and worship was replaced with complaining. verses 22-24

The Godhead was aware that the waters at Marah were bitter. A chemical solution had been stored in a tree, and when it was cut down and thrown into the small lake, the water was cleansed and the people had enough to meet their need. verse 25

Jesus said that He had a new law and full health was promised if they followed this law.  verse 26

From there they went to Elim, where there was plenty of water. verse 27

SUMMARY
The Hebrews witnessed the following:

• The systematic destruction of Egypt through the ten plagues.

• Walking on dry land through the sea and seeing vertical walls of water.

• Watching Pharaoh and his powerful army destroyed in minutes.

Even though none of these actions were possible in the physical realm, this did not generate faith in the Israelites. They knew that God was capable of doing anything, but they did not trust that God loved them and would care for them on an individual basis. They failed to understand God’s game plan which was to build them into a strong bloodline that one day would be used to usher in the Messiah. Matthew 13:18-23

Three million people exited Egypt but their unbelief displeased God. Only those who were 19 years old and younger were allowed into the Promised Land with the exception of Caleb and Joshua. Numbers 32:10-13

Satan was unable to stop God from bringing the Hebrews out of Egypt, but he was able to hinder those 20 years and older from getting into the Promised Land.
Doubt and unbelief are the choice weapons of Satan. It makes God furious if you accept what the Devil offers. Hebrews 3:17-19
