ACTIVATING MOSES
The Godhead once again paused the virtual time run with Moses and the sheep in the wilderness. They spoke to each other and issue of Moses’ knowledge base was brought up. They examined the written records from the previous generation and knew that Jethro had only taught Moses the story from Adam and Eve to the time of Joseph becoming prime minister of Egypt. When the Hittites were driven out 30 years later, the new Egyptian Pharaoh had enslaved the Hebrews.
Jethro had also access to the Books of Enoch and the Book of Job. Thus, Moses was aware of Lucifer, fallen angels, and evil spirits. Up to this point in the virtual time run, the Godhead had not revealed Lucifer’s rebellion, the subsequent space war, the trial of Lucifer and sentencing to the Lake of Fire. Moses didn’t know that God was proving his righteousness to the angels – holy and unholy.
The Godhead decided it was not time to reveal any of these events to Moses. His job was simply to get the Hebrews out of Egypt, shape them up in the wilderness, and record the spiritual laws that were to govern them. An elaborate sacrificial system was going to be set up, that unlike Lucifer’s idol worship, would not require human sacrifice.
As the Godhead discussed these subjects, they heard the prayers and groanings from the Hebrew people and it was decided it was time to start the time run again and to activate Moses. Exodus 2:23-25
TALKING TO MOSES
Jesus was going to enter the virtual time run and speak face-to-face with Moses. The Holy Spirit moved upon Moses as he walked away from his home base to go to the backside of the desert. He did not know it but Mount Horeb was the mountain of God and the place where Jesus would come to him from time to time. Exodus 3:1
A bush had been prepared and surrounded by a supernatural flame that did not hurt the bush. Up to this point, Moses had never had a personal contact with God. His curiosity got the better of him as he sought to find out why the bush was not being consumed by the fire. verses 2-3
Jesus began speaking to Moses when he came close to the bush. Moses saw the bush, the flame, and heard the voice, but he could not see Jesus. Slaves did not wear shoes and the first thing Jesus did was tell Moses to take off his shoes. verses 4-5
Jesus shared His credentials and then told Moses what He wanted him to do. verses 6- 10
It is interesting to see Moses’ reaction. If he was impressed, he did not show it; on the contrary, he responded that he was an 80 year old man who had once been the crown prince of Egypt and now was a poor shepherd for the past 40 years. Moses felt that he was a spent man with nothing to offer. verse 11
Jesus said that He would be walking with Moses. verse 12
Moses showed his doubt when stated that he didn’t even know who was talking to him. verse 13
Jesus identified Himself as the Great I Am and gave Moses marching orders and instructions. verses 14-22
ARGUING WITH JESUS
Moses did not want to obey Jesus and told Him that the Hebrews would not believe him based upon a story. He remembered the rejection he had encountered 40 years earlier. Exodus 4:1
Jesus showed Moses some miracles to turn him around. verses 2-9
Moses was burned out and had no desire to return to Egypt and try to convince the Hebrews that he had been sent by God. Moses exercised his free will and argued until Jesus lost his patience and became angry and told Moses an arrangement had been made and his brother was on his way to meet up with him. verses 10-17
Moses was finally convinced and accepted Jesus’ plan. He returned home and told Jethro what had transpired. Then Moses took Zipporah and his sons and set out for Egypt. verse 18
THE LEGAL BACKGROUND
At the trial after the space war, Lucifer and the fallen angels were sentenced to the Lake of Fire. Matthew 25:41
Lucifer appealed his sentence and charged God with being unrighteous. Jesus, who presided at the trial, could not let this go, since Lucifer had planted doubt into the minds of all the angels. As a result, Jesus set out to prove that the Godhead is righteous. Romans 3:20-26
Jesus set up the legal parameters for Himself and Lucifer. Lucifer and his minions have the legal right to work in the supernatural against humans, but their power will be inferior to the Holy Spirit working through redeemed human beings.
The Godhead reserved the right to intervene with supernatural judgments, but when it came to all other operations, the Godhead would only work through humans.
The Godhead also reserved the right to use holy angels to bring messages to humans and give them physical protection when needed as with the following examples:
• Cornelius was praying and seeking the Lord, an angel was dispatched who directed him to send for the apostle Peter, who at that time was staying in Joppa. Peter was given a vision by the Holy Spirit and told to go with the men Cornelius had sent. Once he arrived to the home of Cornelius, Peter started to preach the Gospel and Cornelius and all the people responded and were saved. Thus, Satan had the legal opportunity to attack the men Cornelius sent and also to try to talk Peter into not going. Acts 10:1-48
• Jesus followed the legal rules He established when Noah and his family were spared from death by the world-wide flood. Jesus could have had angels bring in a spaceship and keep Noah and his family in orbit while He drowned every living thing on earth. Instructions were given to Noah, who had to labor to the get the ark built. Genesis 6:12-17
• When it came to the people sinning at Babel, God judged them and changed their language into many other languages. God used angels to scatter them to every continent and island. Genesis 11:1-8
Jesus could have easily ordered angels with some kind of flying craft to transport the Hebrews to the Promised Land. Such an action would have prevented Lucifer from opposing every move Jesus was doing. The Godhead made the decision that this was going to be a joint operation which included angels, the Holy Spirit, and the Hebrew people. Exodus 6:2-8
Remember, it’s not so important how you begin your life after salvation, but how you finish it!
