THE SPIRIT WORLD
The majority of Christians view the spirit world as some kind of “ghost place” where things are done “magically.” This is a false view which hinders them from fully understanding that the spiritual world has always existed and is parallel to the physical world in which humanity exists. The Bible provides an understanding of the spirit world.

When the apostle Paul is taken up to heaven – also known as the 3rd heaven – he left our universe and arrived to the city of God in the spirit world. 2 Corinthians 12:1-4

The apostle John also had a similar experience and described the throne room of God to the best of his ability. He was not familiar with electricity, artificial light, computers, airplanes, rockets, satellites, etc. He describes a throne, seats for 24 persons, crowns of gold, seven lamps of fire, a glass floor, and four creatures full of eyes. Revelation 4:1- 11

The logical conclusion is that the objects seen by John were solid in the spirit world – as in they could be touched – and were manufactured by someone. The spirit world is just a real as our physical world.

John describes people standing before the throne of God who used to live on earth in physical bodies. When they died, they were transferred to the third heaven, and now stand in front of God’s throne. They are clothed in white robes; they held palms branches in their hands, and sang praises to God. This indicates that the soul/spirit of man has a spiritual body and the physical body is merely a replica of the soul body.  Revelation 7:9-17

Our universe will be dissolved after the Great White Throne Judgment and we will move into a new universe and live on a new planet. Jesus described to John how the New Jerusalem is a city, manufactured in the third heaven, it will be flown to the new earth, and will serve as the governing seat for God the Father. The detailed description of its walls, gates, and floors prove that it has been manufactured in the third heaven and flown to its final resting place. There will be no further need of the sun and moon since the whole city will emanate with light. Revelation 21:1-27

CROSSING OVER
Once Adam and Eve sinned, they were removed from the Garden of Eden and God posted high-ranking cherubims to guard the Tree of Life. One of the weapons at their disposal was a powerful “flaming sword” that rotated horizontally and vertically. These angels guarded the Tree of Life for 1,656 years until the Garden of Eden was destroyed in Noah’s flood. Genesis 3:24

The Israelite escape through the Red Sea was an operation that brought Jesus and angels into action.1 God the Son ordered angels to create a strong wind that pushed the water away and created dry land for Moses and his people to cross the Red Sea. Jesus watched the entire operation from His command post in the pillar of fire/cloud, and once the Egyptian army pursued the Israelites, Jesus ordered the angels to remove the wheels from the Egyptian chariots. Exodus 14:19-31

When Joshua and the army of Israel were in the midst of a battle, angels were activated to rain down stones upon the enemy and kill large numbers of them. Joshua 10:11

When Jesus spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, He descended in some kind of a craft that enveloped the mountain with fire and smoke and was so loud that it scared the Israelites. This craft was from the spirit world. God the Son had the power to enter the physical dimension with this craft. Exodus 19:9-25

An angel was sent to Gideon to call him into action and bring encouragement. This angel resided in the spirit dimension and was able to manifest himself in the physical world. Gideon described the staff carried by the angel, and when he pointed it at an offering of meat and cakes, fire came out and incinerated Gideon’s offering. I believe the angel had a powerful handheld laser which he used to incinerate the food. Judges 6:12-24

When the prophet Elijah was terrified by Queen Jezebel and fled into the wilderness, God sent an angel from the spirit world to minister unto him. This angel baked a cake from ingredients in the spirit world, and when Elijah had twice eaten of the cake and drank the water prepared by the angel, the meal was so nourishing that Elijah was sustained for 40 days. 1 Kings 19:1-8

When Elijah’s time on earth came to end, God decided to remove him with his physical body intact into the spirit world. Angels came down in some kind of a craft that Elisha described as a chariot and horses of fire. Elijah was taken aboard the craft and then it vanished out of sight. 2 Kings 2:9-14

God worked with Elisha through the use of angels and the Holy Spirit. When the Syrian king made secret plans to attack Israel, the Holy Spirit told Elisha, who in turn warned the king of Israel and he avoided the ambush. When the King of Syria sent an army detachment to capture Elisha, God’s angels surrounded Elisha and the Holy Spirit smote the Syrians with blindness. They were led in this helpless estate to the Israel’s capitol. 2 Kings 6:8-23

During His earthly ministry, Jesus took Peter, James, and John to a high mountain and was transfigured in front of them. They saw Jesus in His spirit world appearance. Then Moses and Elijah crossed over from the spiritual dimension. The three apostles watched in awe as the spirit world and the physical world briefly met and became one. Matthew 17:1-7

SPIRITUAL-PHYSICAL DIMENSION
I take the Bible literally and believe every story is a true event, not just some allegory. When we examine the aforementioned stories, it is clear that the spirit dimension is just as real as the physical world. We cannot cross over into the spirit world, but angels – holy and unholy, including evil spirits – can cross from the spiritual dimension into our realm of existence.

I am aware that people in the occult can perform “astral projection” and move via the spirit world to any place on earth. This can only be accomplished with the supernatural power of evil spirits. While their soul can cross over to the spirit dimension, their physical body lies limp while this is taking place. It’s an either/or situation for humanity, whereas angels can move with impunity from one dimension to another.

Fallen angels have the capacity and technology to take human beings into their craft (UFO) and perform surgery, implants, gene splicing, as well as impregnating a human female egg to produce a humanoid.

The Holy Spirit can physically pick up a person and transfer him via the spirit world to any place on the planet. Acts 8:39

Most Christians have a simple viewpoint of the spiritual dimension. They acknowledge that it exists and there are mystical powers about which we know nothing about.
